27.5 miles. The longest trail system maintained by UTC volunteers, the Lake Jacomo trails are part of the Proving Grounds trail system in Fleming Park. Developed in partnership with Jackson County and Heartland Outside, this system is intended to be a unique experience in an urbanized environment. The trails are set deep into the woodland environment with limestone bluffs and the lake as backdrops to provide trail users with a deep-woods experience.

Please note! This trail system is intended to provide a wilderness experience within the city limits. Due to the topography and length of trails within the park, this may yield a more challenging trail experience than many other trail systems in the area. The trails have been designed to provide solitude and the ability to recreate in a natural environment without encountering other users frequently. Please come prepared for the weather and terrain, and respect the natural environment.
